ELIGIBILITY
- Mechatronics Engineering
Qualifications and Experience
(a) Professor
Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related field and have served for at least three (3) years as Associate Professor in a recognized university or institution of comparable status.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- At least twelve (12) years of teaching, research and professional experience in a university or comparable tertiary institution.
- Evidence of academic leadership, administrative competence, teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable journals.
- Evidence of successful postgraduate supervision.
- Professional registration with relevant engineering bodies and membership of recognized professional associations will be an added advantage.
(b) Associate Professor
Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a closely related field and have served for at least three (3) years as Senior Lecturer in a recognized university or institution of comparable status.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- At least ten (10) years of teaching, research and professional experience.
- Evidence of administrative competence, teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- A substantial record of scholarly publications in reputable journals.
- Evidence of postgraduate supervision and academic leadership.
(c) Senior Lecturer
Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related field and have served for at least three (3) years as Lecturer I in a recognized university or institution of comparable status.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- At least five (5) years of teaching, research and professional experience.
- Relevant university teaching and research experience.
- Publications in reputable journals and evidence of professional development.
(d) Lecturer I
Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline with at least three (3) years of teaching, research and professional experience in a university or comparable tertiary institution.
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Evidence of teaching and research capability.
- Scholarly publications in recognized journals.
(e) Lecturer II
Candidates must possess a Ph.D degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline or be at an advanced stage of their Ph.D programme (external assessment stage).
Applicants must demonstrate:
- Potential for teaching and research.
- Evidence of publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals will be an added advantage.
(f) Assistant Lecturer
Candidates must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline with a CGPA or percentage score suitable for admission into a Ph.D programme.
Candidates already enrolled in a Ph.D programme are also eligible to apply. Evidence of publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals will be an added advantage.

Qualifications and Experience

(a) Professor
Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Quantity Surveying and have served for at least three (3) years as Associate Professor in a recognized university or institution of comparable status.
Candidates must be registered with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) and the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN).
In addition, candidates must demonstrate exceptional teaching ability at the university level or in institutions of comparable status, with at least twelve (12) years of academic experience or five (5) years post-Ph.D experience.
Evidence of postgraduate supervision, publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals with a Scopus H-index of not less than 5, a track record of successful research grant acquisition, administrative competence, and strong international research collaborations are required.
Candidates with a Ph.D in Construction Management may also apply, provided they possess a first or second degree in Quantity Surveying and satisfy all other requirements for the position.
(b) Associate Professor
Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Quantity Surveying and have served for at least three (3) years as Senior Lecturer in a recognized university or institution of comparable status. Candidates must be registered with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) and the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN).
In addition, candidates must demonstrate exceptional teaching ability at the university level or in institutions of comparable status, with at least ten (10) years of academic experience or three (3) years post-Ph.D experience.
Evidence of postgraduate supervision, publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals with a Scopus H-index of not less than 3, and successful research grant acquisition are required.
Candidates with a Ph.D in Construction Management may also apply, provided they possess a first or second degree in Quantity Surveying and satisfy all other requirements for the position.
(c) Senior Lecturer
Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Quantity Surveying and have served for at least three (3) years as Lecturer I in a recognized university or institution of comparable status.
Candidates must be registered with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) and the Quantity Surveyors Registration Board of Nigeria (QSRBN).
Candidates must also provide evidence of postgraduate supervision and publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals, with a Scopus H-index of not less than 2.
(d) Lecturer I
Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Quantity Surveying with at least three (3) years of teaching or relevant industry experience.
Candidates must be registered with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS).
Evidence of publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals will be an added advantage.
(e) Lecturer II
Candidates must possess a PhD degree in Quantity Surveying or be at an advanced stage of their Ph.D programme (external assessment stage).
Evidence of publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals will be an added advantage.
(f) Assistant Lecturer
Candidates must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Quantity Surveying with a CGPA or percentage score suitable for admission into a Ph.D programme.
Candidates already enrolled in a Ph.D programme are also eligible to apply.
Evidence of publications in Scopus/Web of Science-indexed journals will be an added advantage.
